New survey on forest management in New Brunswick

New Brunswick forests are viewed and used by people in many different ways. Forest managers and policy makers need to account for public concerns in forest management as well as identify challenges facing this valuable forest resource. In order to better understand New Brunswickers' views about forest management, the New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources decided to undertake a public survey.

The survey was conducted by a team of researchers from Natural Resources Canada -Canadian Forest Service, Université de Moncton, and University of New Brunswick. The objective of this survey was to provide a better understanding of how New Brunswickers use and value forests, what they think about forest management and policy, and how they wish to be involved in the future.
